The X-taping method is a popular way to protect your fingers during grappling, helping prevent injuries and support the joints. Here’s how to do it: 1. Start by anchoring the tape around the base of your finger. 2. Wrap the tape diagonally across the top of your finger joint, forming the first part of the X. 3. Cross it over the underside of the joint in the opposite direction, completing the X shape over your knuckle. 4. Finish by wrapping the tape once around the base again to secure it. This method supports the joint on both sides and helps prevent fingers from bending awkwardly during grips and rolls.
